Why we changed our website and name
A little while ago we decided to get ourselves on Google shopping, so we contacted our web people or should I say tried to. After about two weeks of trying to get a hold of them and knocking at their door it became apparent they had disappeared off the face of the earth. To make matters worse they had organised the hosting for our site so we had next to no access to it and little legal right over it. So we started again and Gladstons.com was born.
We decided to use Gladston`s as the name as that's how we answer the phone. As high power business types would say I thought our brand diversification was getting a little too confusing for the customer. We still are North Shields Model Centre, and Modelkit, same people, same shop, no change of owner etc. but S.R. Gladston and Son is our official title.
The up side of all of this is we now have full control over the site, the down side is we lost product and customer database so we had to start from scratch again.
